You Can’t Buy Happiness, But You Can Buy Nuggets (Same Thing)

🍗 How It All Started
I can still remember the exact moment my nugget obsession started. I was five years old, waiting for my dad to come home from work. He was late that night, but when he walked through the door, he had something with him, a box of chicken nuggets as pasalubong. The second I took my first bite, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, I was hooked for life.
Now, nuggets are my ultimate favorite food and my go to snack. I don’t care what the situation is, if there are nuggets in front of me then you can bet that I'll finish the entire plate.
🍗 The Nugget Addiction is Real (in my case)
Even today, nothing has changed. Everything still remains the same. The only difference now is that nuggets are no longer my only favorite food. If there’s a trip to the supermarket, frozen nuggets are already in the cart. It has become normal for us at this point. Whether it is deep-fried, air-fried, or cooked in the microwave does not matter to me. The only thing that matters is that I need my nugget fix.
My obsession with nuggets reached an all time peak in grade 7 when I found myself eating nuggets for lunch almost every single day. While my classmates enjoyed their rice meals, I was comfortably sitting at my desk with a container full of nuggets, and to me, it was like a five-star restaurant meal. And guess what? I don’t regret it. Nuggets got me through that school year, and I would do it all over again if given the chance.
Come Out Great Every Time - Warm up the air fryer, get the oil frying pan hot, or put them in the oven. Nuggets will always turn out amazing.
Remember the Feeling - Every bite fills me with nostalgia of when I was five years old waiting for my dad’s pasalubong while sitting at the dining table.
And let’s be honest, no one can ever go wrong eating nuggets. At least I know there is one dish I can always count on and will never go out of style whether it is when I am 5, 15, or even 50.
At this stage in my life, nuggets are not just food. They are now a part of my life. This goes back to from childhood pasalubongs to school lunch’s baon, to late night snacks or random cravings, nuggets have always been there for me.
So if you ever ask me, “What’s one food you’ll never get tired of?” The answer is as simple as chicken nuggets. Forever and always.
