“With a Smile” by Eraserheads
Have I mentioned my love for music? Well, to be honest, I'm not one of those people who needs music constantly. But when I find my jam, when that tune catches my attention, you’ll be hearing me humming it for the next four days to a week.
One particular song, however, didn’t just last for four days or a week. It’s not the type of song that would get buried in my playlist, definitely not the type of song that is easy to forget too. This song? It stuck with me from the moment I heard it.
Why I love this song:
It honestly amazes me how someone could produce a song like this. “With a Smile” by Eraserheads made me realize how amazing the human mind is. With the song’s soft tune that honestly can make one emotional, to the strumming of the guitar in the background, the soothing voice, and the beautiful, inspiring lyrics. It’s just perfect, like a warm hug to my soul.
“Lift your head, baby, don't be scared”. The song simply wants to send a beautiful message. That you shouldn’t be too worried and everything will be okay. It's a gentle reminder that things will work out.
“You'll get by with a smile, You can't win at everything but you can try” It reminds us that it is okay to take risks. And that we are never alone.
“With a Smile” by Eraserheads has that comforting factor, wherein it sends a positive shiver to one's soul. This song is a song that I will forever hold onto.
