I love Maynilad <3333
This blog is where I share my weekly journey, a life centered around playing guitar, diving into video games, and reflecting every Sunday at mass. It’s a simple life, but it’s the one I love. I’m someone who believes in living a simple yet fulfilling life. My days usually revolve around two things I love: playing guitar and gaming. Whether it’s shredding on the guitar or tackling a tough game mission, preferably on Roblox. I’m always looking for new ways to enjoy my hobbies. But at the end of the week, I make sure to slow down, attend mass, and reflect on everything I’ve done.
Monday
The first part of my week was spent pretty much entirely on my two passions: guitar and gaming. Also I was on work immersion for the entire week, it was pretty fun and a good learning experience. I spent a lot of time playing guitar this week, focusing on shredding and complex techniques. I’m working on improving my skills with metal songs and blues, it’s tricky, but it’s so satisfying when I finally get it right.
As for gaming, this week I jumped back into Roblox, it’s getting boring but it’s still bearable and it's a great tool to pass the time.
For work immersion, we did not do much on the first day, it was just discussions for the whole day. To be honest, the first day was boring.
Tuesday
This is when it got interesting, we got to meet Engr. Lai, he was like a teacher, I guess because it was one of his dreams or one of his family was a teacher, i forgot. Engr. Lai’s discussion was a handful though i got the gist of what he was teaching, there was so much information that i cant keep up. I couldn’t believe i still cant escape physics and chemistry, as it was a part of solving the BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) and SV30 (Sludge Volume in 30 min). after the discussion, Engr. Lai accommodated us for a plant tour, it was very cool as i can visualize how the plant actually works. After the tour, we went and took samples of wastewater to test in the lab, it was very hot inside the lab but the testing was a great and fun learning experience.
Wednesday - Thursday
Wednesday, we got to meet Engr. Eran, In my opinion the best we’ve bonded with. He was like a chill brainy big brother to us, he explained to us chemical stuff as he was a chemical engineer and recapped us about how the plant works. We learned so much from Engr. Eran, not just about chemistry, bout about life as well. Pretty much from Wednesday to Thursday, this cycle just went through.
Friday
So this was the big day for us, the previous days we have been tasked to make a proposal.
The proposal we presented, there was four. First, The Screw press for the drying beds, its a great upgrade compared to the traditional way of just drying the sludges, If the first proposal does not persist, we have the second proposal, an openable roof, so the drying bed can take advantage of the sun for more heat. Third, we have the desktop controlled machineries. We noticed that the machines needed manual controls. like, you have to go to the actual machines to open and close them. So that’s why we thought of connecting these machines to a computer or laptop for automation. The last proposal was, mesh screenings. The mesh was thought to be put before the actual screenings, so that little objects such as small leaves will get caught on the mesh. Friday was a bit sad, because most of us didn't want to leave Maynilad, we just grew to love the place and the people in it. But before we went home, we asked Engr. Eran to tour us of the plant, every nook and cranny, and he accepted. After that, we went and took a picture with Engr. Eran and went home :))
