Flowers are everywhere, but not everywhere: Being a Florist

What I meant is that I need to see flowers in every corner possible.

Don’t you just love seeing a plethora of colors adorning the fields and plants? It just makes you want to keep one by your side forever, doesn’t it? Those are some of the things that made me want to become a florist. But the main reason is how flowers can be used to communicate, which is called Floriography; also known as the language of flowers.

I need a floriography book ngl (and so do you)

Floriography dates back to the Victorian era when people would send carefully arranged bouquets to express sentiments that could not be spoken aloud. Expressing emotions through words can sometimes be perplexing for someone who’s not sure what to say, but you can make it easier by using flowers as a messenger for your thoughts. For instance, red roses symbolize love and passion, lilies represent purity, and sunflowers embody warmth and admiration. Even nowadays we still use flowers as a way to communicate feelings on special occasions like birthdays and valentines. That being said, a lotus despite its pretty appearance would be best to avoid giving one to your loved ones.

Anemones.

There’s something magical about the way flowers can brighten someone’s day, how a single bouquet can carry love, apology, or celebration without needing a single word. But my personal favorite in terms of looks are Gardenia flowers. I love the way it looks so full and white, and how it’s pleasing to the eyes in general. My favorite in terms of meaning, however, are Red Anemones; I find that I relate to it in a sense. Curious? Well, I’ll leave that for you to find out. Maybe do a little more research about other flowers as well. And who knows, maybe you’ll find yourself intrigued just as I am. So the next time you come across a blooming flower, take a moment to admire its delicate beauty and appreciate the deeper meanings it conveys.
