As someone who enjoys eating, I had a wide variety of meals throughout this busy yet amazing week. I want to start by telling everyone about the food that I enjoyed this week. I truly love eating Sinigang na Hipon because I'm a seafood lover. I also want to mention that Sinigang is my favorite dish because it's so sour! To me, that feels like a double treat. I enjoy the smoky flavor of adobo as well. I am not sure why, but I also enjoy pepper—crazy, huh? Despite the fact that I dislike bitter tastes, I find pepper appealing.

I also had Porksilog with a side of garlic sauce. Porksilog is a mix of pork chop, an egg (in Tagalog, itlog), and fried rice (in Tagalog, sinangag). The "pork" refers to the pork chop, "si" stands for sinangag, and "log" is for itlog. I enjoyed this Porksilog at a place called El Gato; I recommend you try it at Buli, Alabang. It's very worth your money and time, but don’t forget to request garlic sauce—it really adds a new sensation! But if you don’t like garlic, it’s fine; even the pork chop alone tastes good.

Now let's talk about the desserts that I had this week. Ube biko is a dessert that I was unaware existed. I was surprised to learn about it and tried it; it was delicious, but I didn't enjoy the texture—I believe the biko was overcooked at the time. Silvana is also one of my favorite desserts. Silvana is a frozen cookie made from a layer of French buttercream sandwiched between two cashew meringue wafers coated with cookie crumbs. Using Sugarlyte as a sweetener, these silvanas have only half the calories of sugar but the same sweetness as typical refined sugar. The texture is what I like; the silvana is so soft that it feels like ice cream. It is so yummy—a must-try dessert!
